A BIG THANKS to all who participated – Shifting healthcare with kindness and compassion!
A small (but excellent!) team of seven acupuncturists & two massage therapists, were joined by a terrific group of local translators and Health Promoters (therapists) – and in less than five days we treated more than 1,250 patients in the communities of El Quiché and Chichicastenango. Our patients received: blood pressure and diabetes testing, auricular and full-body acupuncture, therapeutic soft-tissue massage or special suction cupping therapy, herbal/ natural plant remedies, nutritional and life-style counseling, and instructions for at-home body-movement rehabilitation exercises ("movimientos de sanacion").
