GHF Covid-19 Response Initiative ◆ Guatemala
As one can imagine, the effects of Covid-19 added further hardship on a population already suffering extreme poverty and violence - and this is especially the case in the Mayan communities in Guatemala. To continue our humanitarian goals, Global Healthworks Foundation (GHF) launched our Covid-19 Response Initiative to deliver “Stop the Spread” Coronavirus Prevention and Wellness Kits to families in need. The kits are designed to minimize the effect of the global pandemic on families, and they contain healthy food staples, face masks, natural plant medicines, and instruction materials to help educate people on steps they can take to prevent and respond to the spread of the coronavirus. Our local on-the-ground Mobile Clinic Team was able to safely create and deliver the wellness kits following strict physical distancing and sanitation guidelines.

Iniciativa de Respuesta GHF Covid-19 ◆ Guatemala, Otoño de 2020: Como se puede imaginar, los efectos de Covid-19 agregaron más dificultades a una población que ya sufría pobreza extrema y violencia, y es especialmente el caso de las comunidades mayas de Guatemala. Para continuar con nuestros objetivos humanitarios, Global Healthworks Foundation (GHF) creo una Iniciativa de Respuesta Covid-19, entregando kits de cuarentena a las familias necesitadas. Los kits fueron diseñados para minimizar el efecto de la pandemia mundial en las familias, estos kits contienen alimentos básicos saludables, mascarillas, medicinas a base de plantas naturales, materiales e instrucción para ayudar a educar a las personas sobre los pasos que pueden tomar para prevenir y responder a la propagación del coronavirus. Nuestro equipo de la clínica móvil local pudo crear y entregar de manera segura los kits de cuarentena siguiendo estrictas pautas de distanciamiento físico y saneamiento.
